OAYO provides outstanding educational opportunities that will result in a robust musical climate and outstanding quality of life in our community far into the future. Today’s OAYO students are our future symphony musicians, music teachers and community leaders. They will sit in the audience and serve on the boards of the Omaha Symphony, Opera Omaha and other cultural organizations for many years to come.
An investment in OAYO is an investment in the future of our overall quality of life in the greater Omaha region. A gift to OAYO will provide:
- Increased and enhanced recruiting, resulting in more student participants representing more school districts in the OAYO orchestras;
- More scholarships and implementation of an instrument lending library, allowing more economically deprived students an opportunity to participate;
- Enhanced programming and learning opportunities for student musicians who may become professional musicians or music teachers who will pass on what they have learned to their own future audiences and students.
