Omaha Area Youth Orchestras impacts the community by providing the only opportunity of its kind in the Omaha area - the chance of more than 550 students to experience orchestral music in a group setting, led by professional conductors, alongside other talented students from the area. In addition, OAYO fills a void in local music education, creates a positive learning environment for youth to develop life skills and improves the quality of life for Omaha residents.

Your participation as a donor connects you to more than six decades of excellence in music education and performance. In order to keep orchestra tuition and concert ticket prices as affordable as possible, we rely on the generosity of our friends and supporters.

We know that music education teaches diligence and discipline in the pursuit of musicianship, but it also leads to so much more! In addition to practicing and performing music, OAYO students build strong friendships and gain confidence, focus and leadership abilities. Still, many OAYO families cannot contribute financially to their child's ensemble music education, or any activity outside of school. For students like Katherine, OAYO scholarships are crucial.

Your donation is music to our ears! OAYO accepts donations for gently used band and orchestral instruments in playable and good cosmetic condition.

Our volunteers are incredibly valuable! OAYO volunteers have donated more than 1700 hours in previous seasons. That is a contribution of time and services equaling over $35,000!
